ok for awhile now iv had a fair few complaints with TF2 running so late, and since i hate running major comps side by side i figured id ask here
what if we ran TF2 say sunday morning at 9AM in single elim? is this preferred to running it at 1AM?
let me know
Id prefer double elim, honestly. If that means not being able to run it on sunday morning so be it. Also most people are tired or sleeping by that time. Or leaving. So i don't think it's a good idea to run it then. If you cant fit it in a better time slot then keep it at the current one. We just have to get the running of the comps together and get some clear rules set out about time delay limits and all that jazz. Maybe move some of the bigger funcomps to the sunday morning slot. Like i honestly dont mind playing till 4-5, but it just needs to be run more efficiently and that means like i said getting the rules downpat and clear cut about delays and that. Those rules should apply to all major comps.
I honestly don't mind the late night tournament. Gives me a reason to not sleep.
Also since the tf2 comp is gaining alot more steam, it deserves the double elim
Enjoy my previous block of text.
Well speaking on the side of Gamestah, i do believe a 9am sesh would be better, so our casters can get some sleep before hand, but if a 12am comps is done again, i woudl hope it wouldnt run for leik 10hours.....fuck its was a long comp....
STILL CAME SECOND, BOOYAH!
edit:oh and btw, even the gamers up/there for the tf2 comp might like the 9am as we were all really tired by the last few maps
Most of the delays at v15 were caused by Steam, not by any fault of the players.
Hopefully, fingers crossed, we will have no where the amount of Steam related problems this coming LAN, and the delay overhead will be significantly lower.
Squids prettty G. Not as G as me though.
As much as I value sleep I also realise the futility of trying at respawn. Midnight is fine, it just needs to not go for 10 hours.
That said, I don't mind which way the vote goes, since no midnight tf2 means more midnight poker :3
