If it requires a net connection, i'd say you're out of luck. Try joining a CS game outside respawn next lan, and see how awesomely bad your pings are.

In the old UI (they just upgraded to a new UI) there was a grayed out LAN button. So I'm assuming there is.

The game probably won't be released till late this year or even early 2011.
