I'm currently building a set up from scratch.

I have an i7 930, 4gb of ripjaw ram, 750w psu, and a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 Motherboard.

Any suggestions on what I should finish up with?
i'm thinking a 5870, and 2tb of hdd.

Ive done a recent upgrade to my system,

so my new specs are smile.gif

Intel I7 920 Core processor
V8 cooler
ATI Radeon 5850
5.5TiB Worth of HDD's
Coolermaster 850w PSU
12 GiB Ram
Antec 1200 Case.
EDIT: Received today and installed 30/06/2010
4 Port Raid Card (Should do me for now)
2 TiB HDD

So in theory i now have 7.5TiB

My machines a beast for me, Im planning on purchasing the following items
Blu Ray Burner/writer
3 2TiB HDD
1000W PSU (Modular)

Prepherals:
5.1 Logitech Surround sound ( forgotten what model)
1x Benq 24' G2420HD
1x Asus 22' VKU222
360 Controlllller
Logitech Wave Keyboard
Logitech G500 Mouse
Gamecom Suroundsound Headphones /w Mic

Modified my case so that the mesh thats on the side of the perspex is gone so you have a pretty clear veiw into the case

Then i got a 13' Macbook pro for school work/stuff/ect.

But the X58 boards use 6gb tri-channel RAM... why wouldn't you do that instead?

HAHAHAHA, sorry dude, had to say it

i have tried and tested 4 different sets of ripjaw ram
i have to say, its fast... VERY fast, but after several hours of use, all.. and i mean ALL of them started to get some serious read/write errors and were thus unusable

there is a reason its so cheap

hope you have better luck with yours
