Another great LAN guys. Props to the admins to increasing the COD4 prize money up to $500 first; $250 second. COD4 has been generating a large amount of attention the past few respawns, so its good to see the admins responding to that. As to the comp itself, it was well ran, and the admins (oohms & deadman) did well and listened to our feedback from the last Respawn (increasing the prize money, running double elim., running promod 2.04 on the servers, running a GunGame comp!!!! etc.) Once I again, I suspect the next COD4 comp at Respawn to be much bigger, and expect an even greater competitive presence from COD4 teams.

Fuck I love Tron.
Awesome LAN, probably the best one I've attended so far. What was the peak of the number of players at Respawn?

Very good lan guys, i know its hard to get stuff going at the right time delays etc, and thanks to those delays things that were going to overlap for me didnt, so i guess what im saying is maybe see if we can set it out a bit differently and strictly apply time limits for delays because as for the tf2 come, playing till past 5 or 6 am and the poker tournament even longer than that lol. Good thing for me that they did so i could play in both but if we could just work on the timing, stuff would be great. Also having the fun comps times posted not ok starting now or in 5 minutes. Thats just pretty much my only negative comment, just work on the timing guys. Hats off to a great lan. also to annoy squid
so yeah, the respawn notifier i have some things to say on it. Lol >_>

LAN = Best To Date.. The only real suggestion id liek to see be incoperated is.. makig the ladders available on the intranet. Instea dof goign up to deadmans comp and looking at it when theres a million people aroudn it you can see yourself from your own comp.. Also whens he isnt there and its on for e.g. the CS:S ladder and you want to see the cod4 one its ok....coz its on the intranet. I really enjoyed the cod4 comp.. even though we were knocked out 3rd round the grand final was just epic to watch.

Ladders are available from your local hardware store. Unfortunately due to tax laws, we are not allowed to sell them online.
;P
On a more serious note, online ladders have been discussed and may in the future exist.

Great LAN mad props for putting it on. A little cramped due to the extra row of tables but hey the more the merrier? Only problem that we had was power issues. Two people who came with us had there power cut suddenly (and a few others behind us). Other than that, brilliant

Other than that, brilliant the cramped tables were a bit, er... difficult to navigate, especially being a larger partcipant - i just ended up going through the annex to go outside [which i did on a regular basis] and apparently my table was having some issues with power too. but other than that [and spending most of the night following and day after on the toilet] it was really great! no real dramas. also, next respawn we can has tron comp? thanks for another awesome respawn guize

I'm wearing too many hats, and these little freeware games suck at being user friendly too much! D= But fear not, we've got an awesome guy lined up to organise them all next LAN, so it'll be some epic awesome fun comping for everyone. I squid-promise it!

You've said that 459 checked in; That sort of frustrating for people on waiting list places 1 through 41. Is there any way to add a 2nd confirmation phase or something even closer to the date. I'm sure its frustrating for people who cant make it onto the list who are actually willing to commit to coming. You'd have to know the night before or that morning if you were going to make it or not... surely.
Name and shame !!!

We have a live updating count & camera on the website for this reason, so you can see if there are seats. At 2pm we did have seats, and if you had turned up at this point, you would of been let in 2pm is not really that much later than 10am, in terms of the lan. until about noon we are still processing check-ins, and from 2pm there is still a bucketload of action left to go -Tank

But who'd want to play in them? The real fun is Tron, TF2, Flatout2 and the like. COD4 starts 3-4pm

Starcraft 2 will be epic - WHEN THEY FINALLY %@#$%@#^#$ RELEASE IT!!!!
The table space yes we know was quite cramped. We tried our best to space everyone evenly and equally but to give you 500 potential gaming allies/enemies we had to sacrifice walk ways. (and as Ihazaflavur pointed out), and myself being a more buxom gentleman it is difficult to move around.
As for the cables being a problem, in those instances, could you grab someone from the front desk and we'll come and fix it right up. We do check everything prior and throughout the event but sometimes items do get missed (we're humans and it happens) but just grab us and we'll fix it right up!

late post but the thought is here 10/10 lan, improved in every way possible and more tf2 ran smoothly, not a single hitch this time at all (but slowly, thats not the admins fault though ) 11/10 job squid, and increased prize money has pulled in more people and more teams (: (time to plug it on ozf next time hey, when the next lan gets announced) team rape managed to slow down the other comps through us being retarded as per usual, was great fun getting raped in source though lol didnt enter any fun comps but thats because im just too lazy ahaha, dc++ warrior shout out to the fc kids and their team, making me scared for a bit when well started off 1-0 to them, giving us good games, and hopefully even more good games at v16 (but we got another x5 member coming in, lollllll) hopefully smash can be run better next time hey, need to get someone to be a dedicated smash slave and a proper spot setup for smash and such, so next time we can run it properly (: peacceeee

Great Lan guys, luckily I got a seat right in the front row, and even got into the photo on the homepage The only problem I had was the same connection issues with steam that a lot of other people had. Not sure if this was chalked up to bad timings with a steam update or what but it impacted significantly on some of the comps as I'm sure you are aware. Also I was wondering if it would be possible to get some sort of system in place for individuals to sign for the team comps to get into teams that are short a player? Kinda like a looking for group sign up or something? It would save people trying to find a 5th or 6th player through the dc lobby or players hanging out at the admin desk to see if any teams have a spot. See you all at v16 Edit: As for that console gaming I can easily bring along my Wii and/or PS3 for a bit of multiplayer action.

One thing from v14 I missed from v15 is the lack of music over the speakers as well as late night youtubing.
Besides that, WIN!

Besides that, WIN! I think alot of the late night YouTube! info was stopped. The projector rotation of win made by Squid Enterprises TM was on the go and provided more valuable info. We got alot of feedback that the YouTube stuff was dodgy and people going "we dont like what they like" and vice versa. So Squid Enterprises won the contract to make the projectorotatoaomore

hmmmmmmz... idk. i think a mix of what Squid did and random youtube vids would be good. I thought it was a bit boring coz there were no random interjections of craziness.

Besides that, WIN! music over speakers = super gay, thats what headphones are for It was an extra dose of lulz, also provided you with something to talk to with the person sitting near you that you have never talked to before.
