i think that game servers need to be policed by someone... at v16 our team got beaten in CSS by people who were obviously hacking. i think there should be one admin in each server while they are competing.... if there arent too many servers. at the very least it makes it FEEL official

Hi,

We keep SourceTV records of every CSS and TF2 game. If you suspect cheating, you are able to come and talk to us. We will review the footage, and make a decision.

CoD4, we request all players record a personal demo of the match so they can provide evidence of an opposing player playing unfairly.

We don't have the manpower to police every server, and we rely on you, the player, to report suspected cheating to us. On request, we may join a server to police any suspects, however.

If people are cheating, I am extremely disappointed. We don't invest hundreds of man hours in to the event so people can scam their way in to prizes. I do not like putting on my sad face.

do you have links to any of the css replays... specifically round 2...

i found replays... but unfortunately the only replays i can find of the team in question are for the warmup rounds... im assuming that they replays didnt work properly because most of them are not full matches (i dont think any are) and half dont even work at all

We use tv_autorecord on the servers, so theoretically speaking every match should be somewhere within one of the files.

If it's not, then it's yet another bug to add to the bug list of the source engine.

Again, let me emphasise that if you suspect someone is cheating, you should report it straight away to an admin. Bonus points for having recorded a demo file of your own.

Apologies for the seemingly missing source TV footage. I shall look in to ways to make it work better for v17.

Thanks for that.. the games im after are split up over several replays...

But unfortunately its still only the warmups... (i have tried recording games with patially the same result) im going to try see if i can find a solution.
