Ok, so since me and oohms have a very bad habit of not failing in flatout2 we are giving the players the option to choose the car we will race with @ V17!
Pick from any of the above cars and we will both use that car for the entire Comp!.

Now that there is cash prizes for FlatOut 2 comp, does this mean that admins won't b winning this time around?

They can win, however any prizes will be passed down. eg; deadman comes 1st, playerX comes second. Deadman would 'win' 1st place, however the prizemoney would go to playerX. if this makes sense

Not related to Flatout in general, but if a member of the admin team were to join a team-game like TF2 and it had a cash prize, would they still get to keep it?

Nope, heres a rule.
If its a physical prize e.g. a keyboard or mouse, a member of respawn team can win and claim the prize
ANY cash prize cannot be claimed by a member of the respawn team.
In the case of a team competition the prize would be distributed among the rest of the players.
cool beans?

I think being 'racing themed' we thought we should run it with an extra round, so more people get a second chance... Too bad the power failures occurred in the middle of it all Also i very nearly didn't make it to the finals (I'm sure next time Dicko will beat me)

Yeah that power failure was a drag. I think I fell asleep for nearly an hour and a half at my desk waiting for the final race.
Second question: has the Figure of Eight 2 always been the final map?
*edit: there was only one power failure.

*edit: there was only one power failure. I picked figure of eight 2 yonks ago as it provided a balance between the 2 quite even flatout 2 playstyles. Those being racing people and derby people I am pondering the idea of using next event to build up a flatout2 ladder. Which i would eventually like to use to run 2 competitions for different skill levels. E.g. a pro competition for people like dead_man and missingo, and a standard competition for people like me Thoughts?

Sounds like a plan. I would imagine the standard competition would not attract a prize? Or perhaps the 50 dollar prize is given to first place? Just thinking of the possibility of a pro entering the standard competion.
What else would be interesting is making some races use particular classes. While the Bullet GT is awesome, it would nice from a variety point of view to race with something else. Is that possible?

I probably should change things up for next lan. Depending on the amount of people who play (there are usually fucktonnes) and the status of our other competitions, i would be quite open to a multi race final. where the winner is decided on the score generated by flatout 2 tournament mode. 2 races and a derby, then a 10 lap arena track. Thoughts?

I will see if I can get some interest for an online game from the other members of this forum. I cannot get online until next Sunday (31st October) at any rate.
Never played Flatout2 online before so should be interesting!
