Hey Guys, just wondering if it is any extra to bring a 360 along as well wont need a tv as monitor from comp will be enough.

Any info would be appreciated.

Would be nice to have a black ops/reach lan going for those of you who are into console gaming. happy.gif

I think the rule would be if you can stick to your one network port, your own power board as well as not take up more than 1 person's worth of space then you should be fine.

I think your network port is where you are going to run into trouble. You will have to ask one of the admins (maybe pm them or join the irc channel) as the rules pretty clearly state that you only get one (unles you ask nicely)

Respawn provides one network port, and power sufficient for these devices for each paying entrant. Should anyone wish to bring two PC's, or additional equipment, they may be asked to pay a surcharge at the discretion of management.

Hope this helped.

Bridging will disable the network port on the switch end wink.gif

Depending on where you sit there is usually spare space however additional ports do attract a cost because all of the ports we have are carefully mapped out/allocated. So asking nicely is a start wink.gif

Orbit is right in that you're welcome to use a power board as you only get 1 power socket.

Thanks for the replies guys. Jeffy i dont mind paying for the extra port (If there is one available). I am not one of those people who expect something for nothing, If you could direct me to the best person to speak to in regards to availability and pricing that would be great. laugh.gif

Cheers

There is also (normally) an unencrypted wireless network, so if you have a wireless adapter/one of the 360s with one built in, I am sure you can use that.

I've spoken to the network admin (Zardoz) but am yet to speak to power (miniwalks) to verify the requirements. Zardoz believes an additional network port shouldn't be an issue but its more about power since its carefully mapped out.

Once I find out more, I'll get the thread updated for you.

Hi,

You should be fine to bring your XBOX 360, however be aware that this will be a "best-effort" service, i.e. we cannot guarantee that you can use it at any time. Entry includes one power socket, sufficient power in our power budget for one PC per power socket and one network port.

Official stuff aside, you should be fine, but be aware that if there *are* any power issues (unlikely, because MiniWalks is the power God), we may ask you to unplug it.

As for the network, see me on the day to get this arranged. We may not have network ports available at the table you sit at - but again, I'll do my best to get you connected up. If we're running 48 port switches on that table, you shouldn't have any problems.\

Look forward to seeing you there!
