Well,

Hats off to the admins. Seriously. A very Well put together LAN.

I usually attend smaller private lan parties with the ocasional extremelan, and this was my first ever respawn lan, and judging by the way some large organized lans i have been to have run in the past, i was hesitant to attend, but The admins provided a very very awesome lan, and as my first respawn lan experience, I have to say, you've wet my appetite for future respawns.
I loved the use of the projector with the funny vids playing constantly - kept me amused during game installs etc.
The network was by far the best i've seen. Given yes i was on the VIP table, and we had an awesome backbone, but my upload speeds out to the rest of the lan were fantastic.

When can we expect some pics up? And does anyone have official numbers for the lan?

Great job everyone involved, you held a fantastic lan. See you at V8.

The two idiots at the back ruined it for me, one screaming like a f%$king girl, the other with a big ADD issue.

Was so close to snapping and throwing a full can at the back of the ADD guy's head. I would of liked to see the ADD guy get kicked out for the comment he made about one of the admins.

Other then that it was a successful lan with no power/network issues. Good work guys@

The noisy kid = Dripskii
The ADD Kid = aeske_ (aes / ash)

I was behind them and yeah I agree.. annoying as hell and kinda killed it a bit

anywho's enjoyed every minute of it, even losing..(but mostly the food smile.gif) sad.gif lol

special little thanxx to troll for helping my old lady find her way thru the 50 carparks at the uni muchly appreciated. also your advice and support thru out the event was extremely helpful hopefully you'll remember us and the next time we meet we might get our shit together and hold a ct half.. smile.gif

Actually there was one litte powerout on my table/row thing. I was on a lappie so I didn't even realise biggrin.gif

Then after like four minutes it just came on randomly, no admins found out why it went off.

Anyway, great LAN. GOOD JOB! That was my first one and I can't wait till the next one.. when I've finally got my bloody imac!

I had fun... even found out about naval combat on war3, which was just... ROFL! had a ball, even though I wasn't there for a bit, it was still cool!

there was an issue that caused the power failure to ur little section. i was aware of it, and fixed it as such. the reason for the outage was that some person ( will remain nameless ) decided it would be wise to walk over a 3phase distribution box and knock several extension leads. and it came back on, coz i came around and saw where the lead went and fixed it.

switch went out on vip table for a few mins - but i think someone kicked the power out or something. was resolved quickly though. the network was fantastic, who do i thank?

Is that expected every lan? Best network i've ever seen at a lan.

Hmm that was my self (that ran the fiber (except to the vip table. I left that up to mini) and ether at one point) and a couple of others. Noteable mention was MANG and TC and ADAY and erm.. I forget the other one I had helping me on and off to run the fiber and such. (see I told you I'd forget your name) . All I know is we tested it over night and it worked well smile.gif before the lan even started.

Next time I think I'll sort out some back up ethernet trunks that will just sit idle untill they may be needed instead of asking people to move while I run the ether and/or if we have enough cable perhaps put two fiber down per table so one is a back up. We shall how ever see what time/effort permits next time.

Our table had network problems fromt he get go, but the admins were pretty awesome trying to get it fixed quickly, and it was. Cheers!
