Appologies if you didnt. anyway - how did you get your dual monitor setup in vista? i just installed it to trial it and can get the sidebar on the second screen no worries, but cant get the taskbar extended. are you using extra software?

Using nvidia control panel with dualview, not spanned.

oh, sorry...

Yeah i just dl'd ultramon 3 but im running 64 bit - the version i downloaded for er.... permenant trial.... is 32 bit.

Tis cool, because i also have a... trial... version of vista 32 ultimate.
Reason for switching to vista is basically because i am upgrading to an 8x1TB raid array, and 32 bit xp wont read it. I therefore have a choice of XP 64, server 2003/2008, or vista.
Vista, post sp1, seems the most viable option. Since my vista sucks post, i have been working heavily with vista at work, and once its configured right, its actually quite appealing.

Although you might have to turn down the effects a little (mine only has a 2600pro in it, you can get a 8800gs in the latest iMac revision), TF2, CSS and COD4 play fine.

yeah, i love it. Some say it has a memory leak. I just noticed sidebar is using 160MB, but i have 4GB, so its not a huge deal. I have a few other widgets to test as well. Any reccomendations?

darwine will run about half of windows games AT BEST, and the ones it does run will run pretty darn horribly tongue.gif

Steam breaks on every update pretty much.

Even much more mature wine revisions like cedega and crossover office will play... bugger all windows games on mac/linux
