http://www.worldrecordsacademy.org/games/l...usion_90191.htm CYBERJAYA, Malaysia -- About 300 gamers participating in "CyberFusion 2009" played computer games for 40 hours-setting the world record for the Longest LAN Party. Hasn't Respawn already beat this record? Scratch that.... u only get allocated so much rest time per person. Everyone has to play non-stop pretty much. Still reckon we could break it

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DreamHackQUOTE Dreamhack Winter 2006 was officially announced by Guinness World Records to be the world's largest LAN party. As of October 15, 2006, ten thousand tickets had been prebooked according to the ticket system. At 18:33 local time on the first of December, a representative from Guinness appeared on stage to announce 7,752 attendants present and 7,788 computers connected to the network. As the summary was made after the party, the world record was set at 8,531 unique computers and 9,184 participants [2] during DHW'06. With temporary visitors, sponsors and crew included, the total attendance of DHW'06 was 10,638 people according to DreamHack AB. Edit: ohhhh longest lan meh!

From what I can tell after a certain amount of time awake you build up "rest credits" which u can use to sleep or w/e. http://www.tomsguide.com/us/NVISION-LAN-Party,news-2512.html"Thankfully the players were allowed to take breaks and were given a 10 minute rest period for every straight 60 minutes played. This rest period could be saved up so six hours of play would get you an hour of rest. NVIDIA was also kind enough to provide free food and drinks to the gamers. To top it off, BAWLs was giving away pallets of their caffeinated energy drink."

Hi,
CPL Pacific was run at Flemington Racecourse in 2001 and ran for three days straight of gaming. It was run by AusGamers/Shafted LAN and was the first network we ever ran full Cisco equipment. Fatal1ty came over for this one too and we all had a game with him. Oh boy, we got spanked!

People sleep at lans?
I'm interested in how. I mean, I've wanted to, and my only solution was to sleep in my car at V9. With the smell; the noise and the amount of people there, how do you do it? Also, what do you do with your stuff (I'm paranoid.)
