Hi everyone, I know this is going to sound made up but its true. I registered for Respawn 12 almost within a day or two of it opening, and as far as I know I stayed registered. But upon checking today I had lost my spot and had to register again :S I dont know how this happened or whether it will effect confirmations but if it does could i please have my spot back? (if you want some proof, I have been attending since v10 and have always registered very quickly)

given that we are still TWO weeks out!!!! i would wait for the confirmation bump, and get in early for that. given we are VERY FULL, (more than ever before) its definately gunna be rego+ confirm or we will (I will) turn you away sad.gif

the "bump" is where people who have registered, comfirm. it shuffles the list and puts people who confirm above people who don't smile.gif

so confirm, wait for the bump, and then seehow things are looking smile.gif

If you confirm now, you will be bumped up the list closer to the event. It's the people who don't confirm who get sent to the bottom.

i registered at 9pm on the dot. does that matter in the scheme of things? Is it in preference order of time or just a general 'confirmed' or 'didnt corfirm' by a certain date?

When do the registrations close? theres three of us coming down from bendigo together, but we didnt manage to get in early enough. As things stand, we need to know asap if one (or all) of us wont make it (we're all currently confirmed) because things would kinda go bad if some of us can go, and some cant (one person is providing the car, while another drives, etc)

basically, here is a timeline to assist in showing hwo this all work, as many people seem confused!

[rego' open!] - - - - - - [Confirm's open!] - - - - - - [Confirm bump!] - -[Event!]

What the CONFIRM BUMP is, is when all the people that have NOT confirmed, drop BELOW people who HAVE confirmed.

eg: before bump:

CODE
Tank              Confirmed
R4n               Un confirmed
Mini              Confirmed


right? so theres a whoooole bunch of unconfirmed people in amoungst the confirmed players. at the point in time, the list is sorted to REGISTRATION date, not confirmation.

PLAYER BUMP! WOO!


CODE
Tank              Confirmed
Mini              Confirmed
R4n               Un confirmed


The list is STILL sorted according to registration time! just that everyon NON CONFIRMED drops down! so all the confirmed players shuffle up! biggrin.gif

That's why all of us admins/uber gophers keep telling you all to wait for the BUMP! to consider arriving or not. If you're still super dooper worried, PM me and i might give you a phone number to call on the day.

i hope that finally explains things!

ps, the player bump will happen in a few days. i'm not 100% when, but it happens 3 or 4? days before the event.

And if all else fails, the doors open to anyone (or just people that didn't get in the top 450 people on the player list? I don't know) at 3 or 4PM in the arvo (or there abouts. I dunno). Which is before a lot of the comps 'n stuff happens.

So if you're willing to wait a few hours to drag in your PC, you'll be fine regardless.
