QUOTE (gyix @ Mar 10 2010, 06:31 PM) QUOTE (GIARUS @ Mar 10 2010, 09:23 AM) Thanks jeffy and wolfmother and i wouldn't change to tpg atm there customer service really fucks u around well if you fail and cant fix the issue or ask the right questions then they fail but if you dont fail then you should be fine they are good as Gyix, im sorry but tpg customer service is the worst and most suckiest piece of dog crap ever. If its a simple problem most people will fix it themselves, but if its something out of there control i.e a problem that isnt with their computer or modem then they dont fail Fact: TPG customer service is shit. Also, *throws caylem at you*

All you care about is making sure you don't ignore the troubleshooting steps because they "know what they're doing" but in reality, all they know is that blue cable is called a "network cable". Assuming the customer knows nothing is better for the customer than letting them convince you that the customer knows everything, even if you do.

If I claim black and blue that a modem is cactus (no lights, ping, no web UI) and the guy keeps following a script to solve my problem and asks me for the fifth time if i have rebooted it, I get pretty pissed off. In fact it is good practice to work with your client if he/she has decent technical knowledge, because it usually makes them less angry, and just might get the problem solved quickly.
