slight Driver Issue... Options

Windows 7 has started to play up, whenever i restart my computer i cannot use my USB keyboard and mouse and my network cards dont work


i have had to use a ps/2 keyboard and mouse..

i went into device manager and i saw that all my usb ports failed to start and that my network cards also failed to start... to fix this i had to click uninstall and then rescan for hardware changes... after that it worked almost instantly.

I want to know why it is doing this and how i can fix it...

I dont want to have to take two keyboards and two mice to respawn so any help is aprriciated:

P.S I dont realy want to reinstall os but if i have to i will - Last LAST FINAL Resort

Kinda thought virus as soon as you said something was taking control of your mouse

Also XP fully supports USB keyboards, It just has to detect them like any other USB HID and that takes time. You DO NOT need to have a PS2 keyboard to install XP.

Hell I'm pretty damn certain every OS from 98SE to 7 has supported USB keyboards off the bat.

everytime i ever done it u had to use a ps2 keyboard cause the usb wouldn't reconize

and im taking control of his mouse
