Have an admin or a gopher wander around and report on what people are playing over Notify or the PA. There's always the option too for people to start a server (or request an admin to start a server) and ask over PA if anyone else wants to play. Not exactly the solution to the issue a lot of people were having. Steam was asking many people to log in (even though previously, before coming to Respawn, passwords were saved it was all updated and working fine), so they couldn't even get to starting it in offline mode. Personally, I had to hook up my N900 to my PC and use it as a modem so I could log in to Steam and set it to Offline mode from there... Other people used Sando's 3G internets, from what I hear. |
