V10 is gonna be me and my mates first time at a lan and we are just wondering what everyone does for food and drink, like dinner and snacks and stuff, is there places there or nearby to get it or do you need to bring all your own stuff?

If there is stuff there and nearby wat sort of prices are they, just like anywhere else or marked up a bit?

Thanks

Hi! smile.gif

We generally sell... SNACKS. smile.gif i emphasise that. We have cans of drink... usually some chips and lollies, and LOTS of energy drink. (bottles of red eye are generally $2.50, with cans for about $1.. may of changed tongue.gif) We run two BBQ's... one at midnight(ish) and one for breakfast on sunday.

if you ahve a car theres heaps of easy acess to food. theres a shopping mall type place thats maybe 5 minutes drive, its got various take away (nandos and sushi im sure of) as well as various ATM's, and a coles.

Theres a maccas walking distance (not a short walk, maybe 15 mins?) from the hall. And a pizza run is also organised, where pizzas are about ~$7.

Lan's are generally not the healthiest eating weekend of your life tongue.gif lots of chips get eaten, lots of softdrink, etc etc smile.gif a suggestion of mine is too go to coles and buy a couple of 1.25 litre bottles of WATER. they're like 60cents each. some people forget to drink water, and salty chips and things, and sugary drinks, escpecially energy drinks are going to make you dehydrated, making you tired, irritable, and such things like headaches smile.gif Best to drink water to keep you happy biggrin.gif the last thing we want is 350 gamers who are grumpy with headaches!

Also unhealthy as it may be, DO try to eat something of sustanence, some bread, make an effort to partake in the free BBQ's. They do serve a purpose smile.gif

Hope i've been of help smile.gif IF you don't remeber any of that during the lan, feel free to come ask the people at the check in desk, as long as they arnt busy they'll be willing to help. they may even be able to show you a map to where the shops are ^_-
