COD6: No dedicated servers Options

Yep thats right.. they fucked this one up worse than cod5. Tens of thousand people are cancelling their pre-orders.

No dedicated servers means shit net servers, no cod6 ladders/comps, and because it sounds like they are using VAC, its going to be a pain in the ass to play at lans.

This will be the first game in the COD series i won't be buying

* We're doing a lot on the backend to make the game accessible for everyone.
* There is no delay for the PC version of MW2
* There's prestige mode
* Jason West at the MP event, said that he was dead on, on the matchmaking servers. We've been building a system on the backend called IW.NET.
* You are completely reliant on IW.NET. There are no server lists. There are no dedicated servers.
* You have private matches where you can customize the game
* You cannot put MW2 on a dedicated server.
* This is the first time we've ever done something like this and the team has huge plans for what IW.NET develops into.
* Customizing your game...you have quite a few options in a private match
* You're getting same game (as in Console), plus matchmaking and private match.
* Server admin point-of view, NO DEDICATED SERVERS
* Anti-Cheat will be VAC, not PunkBuster

so oohms what if we do play it at respawn, do we get shot? lol

But yeh im getting good ping with it, a fair amount of people in australia play the multiplayer and it makes the ping good,

HOWEVER

matchmaking sucks ass, if it cant find anyone in the games lobby with good ping, then it would try merging lobbys with another - EVEN if your lobby is full, then if that fails (most of the time it does when it try's the merge) it would close the lobby

And when your in a game if the host disconects, then it changes hosts - a good thing(to an extent) if the game cannot find a suitable host it will end the game and kick you out - meaning you loose all your kills and points ect ect. - BAD

its a good storyline ect ect, multiplayer needs some more fixing, however you CAN lan in a private match, i havent tried it yet but i will eventualy (possibly at the next respawn)

I enjoyed the story, it realy sucked me in, once i started playing and got into it i couldnt stop, its graphics are pretty damn good, however the AI sucked for your team, at one point you would have the smartest team, they would kill any opposition, then at the drop of a hat they would turn stupid... wtf? it would be realy annoying if i was standing in front, all of a sudden my backups stoped and i would die.
