hey guys iv been thinking about making a file server but i dont know much about them. i was hopeing to get some pointers and parts advice for a server on a budget.

ok so low spec processor and 2gb of ram

the MOBO has changed to this: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/408 (already have this mobo)

and what do you think about the idea of using

Addonics ADSA4R5 SATA II RAID Controller

and

Addonics 5-Port Hardware Port Multiplier
http://www.techbuy.com.au/product.asp?prod...AID_CONTROLLERS

together to be able to add drives in groups of 5(in raid5)

case will be custom built:P
