Hi all!

Here are the basic rules for the Minecraft Survival competition, being introduced at Respawn v32: Candy LAN.

Essentially, this is a PvP-designed game – your aim is to be the last one standing!

Settings
• 45-minute Time Limit
• Initial 5 minutes are 'peace' time, to give everyone time to disperse
• Latest Minecraft version (run Minecraft BEFORE you come to Respawn and log in, just in case)
• "Hardcore" Mode will be turned on
• Monsters will spawn
• No Mods (excluding texture packs). We're running this as simply as possible so that there are minimal problems.

Special Rules/Limitations

• As this is 'Hardcore Mode', upon death, you are 'banned' from the server. Don't worry, you'll be let back in next tournament!
• Don’t act against the spirit of the game (have some fun, don’t be a bad winner/loser etc).

Admins have the right to take action on any of these things. Depending on severity, this can range from private warning to instant (and permanent) ban.

Victory Conditions
• Last player standing, and last to die, are awarded first and second place.
• If more than one player standing, the top two scorers of the survivors take first and second.
