Was upset at seeing the Quake 3 1v1 comp not go underway, though I think only Ultimate and I wanted to play.

Some comps ran way too long which is probably why we had some people crying over the Call of Duty 4 players, I believe the finals were at 5am? Sorry that it takes more skill than the snake-esque game with a bike that you lot were playing.

A lot of awesome stuff being shared and hilarious when some guy rage quitted 'the file sharing program' after being called out for sharing CP.

Was suprised an admin actually came up to me to tell me to stop trolling yet they said nothing to the man death threatening me. Never seen such a biased monstrosity in my life.

Massive thank you to Lelouche for the nuggets and the guy behind me with the pseudonym starting with V that saved me from dehydration, sorry for being a beggar peasent but it doesn't help when the guy that asked you to play for his CoD4 team didn't end up buying you food or water like he said he would.

If you must know, after 3am i was very very considerate to everyone around me. Also, i was probably one of probably 10 who stayed awake the whole time. I was actually only joking, i slept at the previous respawn but as i snore, went to the back seat of my car to be considerate.

this is the first time iv had people complain about having a speaker in the annex, for some reason people love sitting in there and then complain that cannot hear the announcement. im guessing i should make some rules regarding people competeing in major comps and sitting in the annex

oO. I had no idea that any music was playing xD. Must have been hearing "Fuck you! You can't Frag me, You can't frag me, you can't frag me!" so much.

I'm OK with the announcements... I think most people would be to be honest (as long as it's not the ridiculous "oh look at me, I have a microphone" style announcements).

Am not saying it wasn't funny but after the 26 million-th time of people screaming at the top of there lungs at 2am had gotten to it's "i am going to kill you" stage.

I did at one stage tried to talk to some of the Admins about an error happening on my computer but where told to go away because they did not know. I understand they where trying to fix the steam and other errors happening all over the event but not one of them had asked me about the error. The problem continued all night that the lan games where impossible to play because of disconnections. The "fun" competitions and the chat did make the night some what amusing.
Over all i had much fun and so cannot wait for the next respawn lan. Just hoping that my computer will not experience the same/any problems.

With this whole music situation, we should go back to what we had back in v14. Really bad 90s/early 00's pop.
The main thing I can remember from that LAN (and it was my first), was my sudden love for Cartoon Heroes - Aqua.

Some very bad man kept throwing pieces of carrots and dinosaur candy too, i got hit by them several times and the guy who was wearing a purple wizards hat got pounded with the carrots, the wizard hat guy told the person who was throwing the carrots and candy at him to stop but since the bloke throwing them was so massive and ridiculously good looking he just replyied with "u mad?" "Come at me bro".

if this ever happens again let the admin team know and we will give them an official warning, if they persist they will be asked to leave, if they still dont then security will be called to escort them from the premises.

I actually saw some guys throwing shit pretty much the entire LAN which was pretty disgusting behaviour, I got an eaten drum stick thrown at my back which was probably one of the doggest things that's ever happened in my life. Sure it's amusing but when a brother is in a 1v3 clutch situation to win the map, shit's just not on.

They were probably jealous that I have enough dosh to get Ralph Lauren polos.

Sorry dude, lol. I'll dob myself in for that, aswell as a few other people I was playing CS with. I work night shift so I'm up til all hours of the morning, will try to keep it down next time, haha.


Pros;
Big thanks to Squid who got GunGame up for us! You rule, we love you, haha!

Sitting with some of the best people I know, and meeting new ones (Rem, Lord Inf, Kemixz, Joey & Joey's WoW friend, rofl.) Even ones I didn't meet but had conversations with on a certain program (Tech, Prod1gy, Wargasm) Thanks for making me laugh, guys!

Screaming at Archie, Yoby & Blanc during gungame with Queenie. Although everybody else hated us after 5am, it was fun either way.

All in all it was a good LAN, minus Valve being absolutely terrible & ruining GunGame with their shitty patch/update. I had a good time regardless!



Cons;
That terrible music on loop. I wanted to rip my ears off for awhile there, but worked out how to block it out.

Sando screwing with my epic pink keyboard, and swapping my M & N keys.. which I still haven't bothered to fix.. aswell as all my arrow keys & backspace key.. Thanks Sando, love you too, fgt.

I reckon the LAN was fantastic.

It certainly wasn't my first, but by far one of the best.

The Music

Personally, the music was amazing. I have no idea what the previous users were complaining about it just being an entire loop, YOU PEOPLE JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO APPRECIATE GOOD MUSIC.. I was a little disappointed when I actually went to the admin desk to see if they could turn it up, since I could barely hear it, but, I my purposal was declined by Squid, which was saddening.

My suggestions for music next Respawn; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QH2-TGUlwu4 On a continuous loop will definitely make me a lot happier.

CSS GG
Despite the large amount of abuse being thrown around in the server, and people calling each other hackers, I believe it was fantastic. Evening mixing it when an admin gave the RCOn Password to the users, and Myself and an other respawner where using noclip and drawothermodels. Not saying it's a bad thing, I believe it mixes it up, and actually loosens the amount of stress.

Era of the Spawn
This spawn brought by far the most generosity of all the respawns before it. People were donating to myself, with food and drink. I collected 5 Cans of Coke, 2 Pepsi's and a large thank you the guy who gave me a tootsie roll. It was delicious.

On a seriously note however, the amount of space between the spacing of tables was BY FAR an improvement from last spawn. YOU COULD ACTUALLY WALK THROUGH WITHOUT HAVING TO ASK PEOPLE TO MOVE IN, FUCKING PROPS TO SANDO. It was so rockin'

AND SEEING YOU READING THIS, PROPS TO THE_VIPER FOR GIVING ME SEASONS OF THE MOLE.

Chat
Chat was slightly ruder this time. I was threatened by a member for declining a download, he prompted me to fight him and bring "60 of my mates". I felt disappointed after that, as I do not have 60 mates.

On a plus side, it was a large amount of fun, I know a lot more people now, and I disappointed a few when I couldn't offer what people said I had, for that, I apologize guys, maybe next LAN.

POKER
Poker was rockin' as per usual, I would like to complain that I misplaced my $5 within the buy-in money, and would love to see it returned to me asap.

It was also good laughs as well, brightened up the moods at 3am, that's a plus.

Food
I was, as a previous note was alluding to, that the lack of hotdogs. That made me disappointed off the scale..

BBQ

I don't see why people are complaining, it tasted great, and it was free, what more could you want...

Only concern, is that the lack of sauce annoyed me.

In all serious to the act of DC++, It's going to happen, but yeah whatever, legal reasons blah blah blah. I was horrified in actually seeing a person hosting CP in his/her list. I mean, you've said not to use DC++ countless times, but are you not going to act on something that illegal and disturbing? :|

How about i just bring my dj stuff, the whole shebang, ive only got 100,000songs of ALL types. That way, its live music, requests can be made, mixes done, and can auto play when im playing games

Hey, personally I thought this was a great LAN =D! Sure I noticed the carrot throwing incident and that was a little BG, but aside from that, it went pretty smooth! Didn't have as many leaving after the CS comp as usual which is great. I agree btw that the BBQ was awesome!

BUT, I have a proposal!

From the last couple of Respawns I've attended, I've talked to quite a lot of members about music production, and it was a common consensus that a fair few were attempting to share their music on DC++. That's decent and all but what if there was a way to get their music heard?..


Now, im not sure how feasible it'd be for something like this to be replicated for Respawn, but it'd be awesome to be able to showcase the music of the respawn community to the respawn community! (PS: if done, it should be BEFORE the CS comp, cause too many people leave straight after it !!)..
