QUOTE (oohms @ Nov 4 2010, 01:16 PM) console port = fail WooT BF3 nah really man its going to be like totally awesome. Fully sick! Just what we have been pulling ourselves over for the past 5 years. BF series is dead, it's now just a console money spinner.

QUOTE (oohms @ Nov 4 2010, 01:16 PM) console port = fail Do i need to go over this again, Frostbite games aren't ports. Awesomeness of frostbite engine means game will run natively on frostbite regardless of what platform it's running on weather it be PS3, XBOX, or PC.

That may be the case, but they share content and compromised design ideas to keep the consistency with its console counterparts - effectively the same as a port to us, minus some bugs

QUOTE (oohms @ Nov 4 2010, 01:16 PM) console port = fail *sigh* I hate it when people like you are right. I WANTED TO BELIEVE that BF could redeem itself. When they kept promising me PC exclusive features, and extended PC support for BC2, i got sucked right in. It was probably because I was still angry at how MW2 ruined CoD. Oh well, I won't get fooled again, that's for sure. R.I.P Battlefield series

Welcome to the future of gaming. We all saw it coming Why make money off 20,000 hardcore gamers when you can make money off 200 million or so casual gamers? At least they cant take away our classics. Whats stopping us just playing BF2, its not going anywhere

Whats stopping us just playing BF2, its not going anywhere I think i will have to hunt down my copy, or Dick Smiths $9.95 bargain bin for the kids that don't have it. BF did get slightly tiresome after so many years and ladders. May be sometime away may have done me some good. Ooooohhhh whats that over there ......................... ummmmm shiney!

I was around when they were released, just too young to enjoy them. That being said, if someone feels like having a old-school PC (well, not exactly modern) LAN, I have a PC here running Windows 3.1 and another running 98 (which has a mx440 in it)...
