Seeing tho Dota2 is made by Valve which made Steam, and we have steam access. And Dota2 now has Australian servers, will we be able to play Dota2 at v26?

Assumably it's doable. I've seen plenty of people still playing the WCIII DoTA mod, the interest in DoTA itself is still there, so this could be a very viable option.

...That is, assuming Steam is able to connect reliably this time... I have faith!!

I'm still new-ish to this, but from what I understand just make sure you do a shout-out (or ask Zardoz if he's interested, that seems to work) and you'll get at least a few people follow you in to the game :-)

There's two possible scenarios:

Scenario 1: our internet is horrible.
In this scenario, general access to DotA 2 is possibly allowed, but your pings will be /through the roof/.
The people participating in the (just announced) DotA 2 comp will be given access to an alternate internet connection just for DotA 2, as we have done with Starcraft 2 in the past.

Scenario 2: our internet is A++
In this scenario, yes, you will absolutely have access to DotA2.

We wont be able to find out which internet scenario we'll have until Friday the 25th at the latest (when we set up the event).
