Special Rules/Limitations

- The team captain is responsible for having her or his team set and ready for each battle.
- Friendly banter is fine, just ask Zeus. Harassment and abuse, however, are not god-like, and will NOT be tolerated.
- Don’t act against the spirit of the game (do have some fun, don’t be a bad winner/loser etc).
Admins have the right to take action on any of these things. Depending on severity, this can range from private warning to instant (and permanent) ban for individuals, OR the team.

Victory Conditions

Best of 3 battle, single elimination.
Destroy your opponent’s Titan to win!

FAQ

Q: Are there prizes?
A: Yes indeed – these will be announced closer to the event, or at the event itself.

Q: I don’t have a team, can I still take part?
A: If you don’t have a team, and can’t organise one pre-event, see the Competitions team ASAP on the Saturday, and we will try to help you find a team. We can’t guarantee you a team, but as you only need to find two other players, it’s worth a shot biggrin.gif

Q: In the event of network failure, what will happen?
A: If the entire internet fails, dropping all players offline, the match will be replayed as soon as internet connectivity returns with the same settings and same Gods for each player.

Q: Can I pause?
A: No – Smite does not have a pause function. Between battles a quick break is absolutely fine, as long as you clear it with your opponent, but no longer than 10 minutes. A quick match is a good match smile.gif

Q: Can I delay my match in Smite to take part in another competition?
A: We have to be a bit mean here – if any member of your team is still not ready within 15 minutes of your call-up for a match, or your captain does not respond to the call-up, your team will be disqualified. It’s disrespectful to hold up your opponents – you may be a god, but your opponents are too!

Q: Can I have a substitute in my team?
A: Yes, as long as they are registered as part of your team before the tournament starts, and a Respawn Attendee.
The admins reserve the right to waive this under extreme circumstances, but we will NOT allow a non-team substitute simply because a team member is taking part in another comp, or went to get dinner.

Q: So, when do we eat..?
A: During the dinner break smile.gif This is usually between 6:00PM and 7:00PM.

Q: What about anything not covered here?
A: Post below if it’s pre-event, and we’ll try to answer your question. If you have questions at the event, speak to the Competitions Team, and we’ll try to help you out!

May your battles be divine!
