last lan we had like over 533 people say they were coming and then 311 rock up

No, 533 people registered for the event. Only 425 confirmed they were going and 311 actually turned up.

That is essentially what happens with the player 'shuffle' - anyone that has confirmed is put ahead of the people who haven't confirmed.
