When: 10:00am July 23rd to 10:00pm July 23rd, 2011 (Saturday only)

Where: The event is being held here. In an awesome computer company's warehouse! What better environment for gaming than being surrounded by PC Gear?!

Cost: $30.00

Seats: 100 people!

We're holding another retroLAN to celebrate the classics that got us all into gaming originally! Join us for a great day of gaming, bottom-less soft drinks, and great socialising in an awesome environment (seriously, we're in a computer distributor's warehouse, nothing better than gaming and being surround by awesome PC gear)

We've also got some incredible competitions and a few cool prizes lined up too so this is *definitely* not an event to miss!

Competitions:
  • Drive like it's 1942! - Remember the classic Battlefield 1942 map, Wake Island? We line up all the jeeps in the game at 'The Village' on the northern end. And competitors team up in pairs, to make a mad dash past all the other players to reach the other end (South Base)!
  • Blind Man's Kart 64 - Make it to the end of the haunted house track with your partner in a navigator/blind-driver mode!
  • Super Mario Bros World 1 - 1 - A speed run of this iconic Mario level - get the fastest time to win!
  • New Super Mario Bros. Coin Battle - collect the most coins to beat all the other competitors in the first level of this Wii classic-remake!
  • Quakeworld Deathmatch - we've got a completely legal, free version using the Quake demo for everyone to use, duke it out for the most frags and win!
  • Rubix Cube Speed-Solving - be the fastest to solve the rubix cube within a 3 minute time limit to win!

You can find out more, and sign up for the event over at sogc.com.au! See you at the LAN!
