Respawn v28: A Throne of Games wrap-up

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who attended Respawn LAN v28.

We'd like to thank you for attending Respawn LAN v28: A LAN of Thrones and for showing the love. We all had a great time and have now fully recovered from the weekend.

Team AU and Gigabyte

Team AU appeared in force at this event with two high powered overclocking rigs including Intel's latest Ivy Bridge and Ivy Bridge-E processors and nVidia GTX 780 and Titan GPUs, a few kegs of liquid nitrogen and hardcore over clocking skills. On Sunday afternoon, they achieved the world record 3DMark06 score! You can read about their achievement here!

SteelSeries and OZFORTRESS

We'd love to give a big shout out to ozfortress - Australia's TF2 community for bringing together a massive TF2 contingent at Respawn. These guys run a great community for TF2 players and we look forward to seeing them at future events.

Power issues

We learned the hard way that our community love to upgrade their PCs all at once! This is great news for our sponsors but unfortunately we had to re-engineer some of our power network during the event for the unprecedented load. We're taking steps to ensure that this doesn't happen at future events, so feel free to chat to our partners at Scorptec about your next high end graphics card purchase!

Lost property

Some jumpers were left behind at the venue. Let us know either via our Facebook page or our web form if you believe you have misplaced something with a description and we can ensure it's available at the next event.
