Windows 7 has started to play up, whenever i restart my computer i cannot use my USB keyboard and mouse and my network cards dont work

i have had to use a ps/2 keyboard and mouse..

i went into device manager and i saw that all my usb ports failed to start and that my network cards also failed to start... to fix this i had to click uninstall and then rescan for hardware changes... after that it worked almost instantly.

I want to know why it is doing this and how i can fix it...

I dont want to have to take two keyboards and two mice to respawn so any help is aprriciated:

P.S I dont realy want to reinstall os but if i have to i will - Last LAST FINAL Resort

Could be your motherboard. I don't know if the internal battery could cause stuff like this, but someone here might. Have you changed or upgraded you motherboard drivers recently?

If yes, try to roll the back to an earlier version that worked.
If no, upgrade and see if that helps.

Id say it would be some form of driver corruption, maybe a southbridge overheating, or motherboard failure.

Check your temperatures and update your chipset drivers.

double click on one of the devices with a yellow mark,

it should give you a device status and error code

hm i dont want to miss respawn... however it is my windows because i just installed ubuntu and the keyboard and mouse have no issues... thanks for the suggestion deadman. great... i hate reinstalls means i have to do backups and stuff... i wonder if i can do a windows boot restore or somthing.

any last options before i choose the ultimate painful goal.

Slight edit: Rebooted into windows and keyboard/mouse/drivers working fine? wtf? needed a secondary os to give it a kick in the butt?

sometimes the sfc scan will replace missing files without telling you its replaced them.
