QUOTE (OM NOM NOM @ Sep 28 2011, 10:55 AM) *
Lack of sausage in my mouth. D:<
What happened to the Sausages at like 9-10 in the morning? and the couple of hour delay for the midnight sausage fest, was incredibly annoying. sad.gif
Respawn is famous for the mass sausage, yet you guys can't even get it right anymore.? (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

The midnight one was delayed due to the big BBQ that respawn usually use was not to be found this event and the gophers were stuck to cooking many sasuages on a small, 2 plated BBQ.

Event was good, people were more respectful this time around and I had a nice bunch of people around me.

Also, to the people who gladly stop/smile or use manners when talking to Jutzy or I on saturday morning during Traffic. Thank you. It makes the job a whole lot better when you can have a joke / remember old faces.

Welcome!

Firstly,
1) graphics drivers/lan drivers on DVD incase of any issues.
2) An ethernet cable!
3) Some money for delicious food and drink!

It's not back-to-back per say. Most are put with some breaks to allow for people to eat/drink/get some fresh air or join in AFK comps like iron gut (not sure if its on this event)

Thirdly! Don't fret, Respawn allow walk in's from 2pm to take the empty seats of the event for people who may have missed out on confirms or even registering.

Also, if this is your first event. You should check out the free BBQ at about midnight.

I think the lack of fun games could have been due to steam not working for a large amount of users. I couldn't get onto steam for the whole event and have gta4, flat, etc with steam (steam was even a buggery for offline connect)

Only real issue I had was some inconsiderate 13 year olds who were setup near the toilets blasting music from there laptop at 4am when i was trying to sleep. Also the loud giggling/screaming/yelling and kicking of the big wooden folding doors was also immature and annoying. Especially when you've had minimal sleep from setup.

Also another note. People spending up/down union drive is concerning. Especially when I'm trying to help people with parking/answering car park 3 questions.

Overall, a good lan.

Hot food :3

The respawn community should help construct that food 'directory' a user was working on. It's a pain in the butt trying to find a nice food place, especially if you're vego/vegan. smile.gif

We should play GTA: SA for people who can't play GTA 4 for whatever reason.. since theirs a cool addon/mod that allows you to play multiplayer over LAN. smile.gif

Just a note on your bricked harddrive.. what firmware was it? their was a huge issue to do with this happening to drives and maxtor was replacing the drives for people. So you should chase that up.

Does respawn have an ETA for the ticket system?
Not pushy, just somewhat in the dark about it. smile.gif

watched The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It. and it was somewhat funny. Wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't read this.

You should review 'The human centipede'

Not to sound ungreatful in any way but contest winners could just sling your prizes off to friends/ebay for money and probably make more than $100 for them both...

Just a thought, be happy respawn is listening to users feedback, even though it may not be your preference.

He's running an i7 with 64bit with 2 PCI-express ports free.

Would he need a different type of card or will the same type be fine in PCI-E?

Where the poker is played is big enough for 3-4 couches and a projector type setup? smile.gif Whilst being easy enough to later push away for poker.

DC++ can actually be helpful if people are posting their servers/where the action is at.

I usually jump on GTA4 with other users and we have a blast for like 2/3hours but nobody was interested this LAN/nobody has the steam version/I wasn't at my computer a lot of the time.

More fun comps and spamming/advertising them whatever chat we use is a good idea, maybe even someone suggesting a good open source game and organising a game for it. Problem is some people don't even know about epic games like flat out 2. Crap, I didn't even know about it till I went to respawn and a friend said to enter the comp!

Stream would be the only viable option. Some people aren't going to like that type of music and not all headphones can cancel out loud music.

play games, not leech <3

I do apologize for the un-organisation of the chick comp, and ending up having it not run due to personal circumstances.

it will definately be better done next time smile.gif

many apologies.

Knowing you actually came around asking the girl players with us to join. You should be happy that you do so much for respawn.

p.s thanks for my warm hoodie :3

People could have/should have spammed their games/servers on the forums.

I always get the desire to play games like SA-MP at respawn but never get around to installing it/not sure about the server files. People enjoy mindless violence. It allows for people to play/game/get involved but still enjoy other aspects whilst not needing a beasty computer to run GTA4/Saints Row 2.

I think if people knew how appealing/fun games like Flatout 2 were, they would actually take 30 minutes to play it and maybe even enter the fun comp. (I orginially joined the competition for Flatout2 but had to pull out so I could go to the shops)

Steam is usually the users fault when they don't take a minute to boot their computer up, let steam offer to run in offline mode, run it, then plug their machine in. The games do LAN in offline mode...
