I have known a few people to check their pc's for flights, they all take their hdds out and put them in their carryon.

Also make sure your cpu heatsink is secure. If its not screwed down, you may want to put it in your carry on too. you dont want a nice chunk of metal bouncing around between your psu and video card.

Unfortunately I'm not coming to the next event, and my research has indicated that anything past 16v makes it jam.

So I'm trying to think of a new plan.

Got a longstrike and stampede yesterday, and they sent me a free nitefinder

drilled out the AR on the longstrike and nitefinder, havnt started on the stampede yet

planning on doing the ar and upping the voltage for faster firing, not sure what im going to do for the volt mod yet (thinking about 4 9v batteries setup for 18v, but that might be a little bit too fast to work reliably)

Also stripped down the stupid tactical rail sight thing that came with the longstrike, and attached a cheapo supermarket led torch

dodgy pic but cbf getting out real camera

Thinking about painting my clear guns on the inside

Already fixed the laser pointer from the recon by replacing the wussy LED with a real laser

As far as power goes, I have just done the flow restrictor removal

I have a small 2 cup coffee machine at home with steamer, uses ground coffee. Be happy for it to be in use aslong as it stays behind the desk. Would be willing to man it for a while also. Aslong as no one requests a skinny flat white with organic A2 milk with a slight foam blah blah blah. I hate you people at work! haha

I read that in summary as "I'm a barista that does not like selling coffee the way the customer wants it"... and I thought that was an exclusive complex to customer call center workers!

One important question here.

Is it the 900MHz or 850MHz model?

And if you have the space, maybe respawn can provide a microwave next time? I don't know if one was provided at V17 but i know it would be handy as, not only for those that would like to bring their own food, but also for those who wanna make popcorn for movie watching biggrin.gif

The only concern I see with that, whilst it could be done. Is the mess that follows. Lanner's tend to be a messy bunch, and the amount of rubbish on floors, split drinks etc makes it a little prohibitive. Particularly when one lanner nukes their easymac and leaves a god awful mess in the microwave because it exploded everywhere and left cheese all over the inside of the microwave.

Edit: Who cleans up after the lanner that exploded cheese in the microwave?

I know from experience that this will end in failure.

We gave people open access to a kitchen with a microwave at AWL once. Not a single surface in that kitchen did not have either cheese or salsa on it. and that was a 1 day event with ~50 people.

On a more constructive note, I'd like to suggest Up&go. breakfasty goodness.

Big Brothers Pizza
What I had: Large Aussie, Garlic Bread
What It Cost: $7.50 for Large Pizza. $3 Garlic Bread
What I Thought: Acceptable pizza. Better than expected in this price range, but nothing special. Same garlic bread they seem to have everywhere. Nice and quick. Went around 7 and it only took 10mins.
Where the hell is it?:Bundoora Shopping Centre, near the supermarkets. link

We all go to respawn, and we all eat.

If people write up what they thought of the nearby takeaway food stores , people will know whats good nearby.

Om nom nom!

People could just listen to whatever they want to on their headphones.

The venue is noisy enough as it is, dont need to add to it with music that will always be too loud or drowned out by the noise in the room.
