For people coming to old school LAN, the maps that don't come with CPMA can be found at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11350558/baseq3.7z (hosted by Nyarlathotep original link went down)

Q: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
A: A woodchuck would chuck all the wood he could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
(According to the tongue twister, although the paper "The Ability of Woodchucks to Chuck Cellulose Fibers" by P.A. Paskevich and T.B. Shea in Annals of Improbable Research vol. 1, no. 4, pp. 4-9, July/August 1995, concluded that a woodchuck can chuck 361.9237001 cubic centimeters of wood per day.)

Aside from what we have recorded out to the livestream this weekend, does anyone else have footage of the event, gameplay or otherwise? I'm looking at you, commentators. Would love to get it all compiled and out on YouTube!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJv41rwaYmQ (pay attention to 1:17) and there are rumours of a fragvid happening as well

Hey,

Always nice to see new posters!
Comp registrations are done on the day via the EMS (http://respawn.lan), you create/sign up to a team on that, then the team captain enters the team in the DOTA2 (or whatever other) comp, the comp will run as per this schedule: https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hpho...65706533_o.pnbg .
Prizes: DOTA 2 5v5: 1st $500, 2nd: $250

Hey Dagger, sorry I wasn't keeping an eye on the website forums, next time either come and talk to myself, SirSquidness or any admin and just say "Hey, is there any chance of a server for * being setup?" and we will do our best to accomodate, or just try using the forum on http://respawn.lan while you're there and we'll try and help

Would be awesome to able to watch finals of any game let a lone sc2, can this be done at all?

Depends what computer is being used for the projector.
All the games that are played in the major tournaments have, to my knowledge, some form of spectator mode. The catch is having someone who knows what they are looking at who is willing to follow the action on screen so you aren't just looking at the middle of the map

Hey guys,

If Respawn were to start looking into this, what would you want from it?

I have been really pleasantly surprised with the build quality and also interactive support of the CM products, I bought myself the Spawn mouse after reading interesting sensor comparisons too have a play with for Xmas and for the $40, brilliant value and so comfortable for a claw style grip .

I had a CM Sentinel (well, have, but use my g9x instead), the rubber started to rub off after about 4 months of use.

Dates specific to v23, but the concept is there. I just hope this clears up any questions anyone has, if not, leave a question below

Thursday the 5th of January- Sign ups open, everyone can sign up to come. At this point you are allowed to prepay your seat (for more information about pre-paids, see: http://respawn.com.au/forums/index.php?showtopic=1369). Note: All pre-paid spots are normally gone within 1-3 weeks.

Around 2 weeks before the event – Confirmations open, so anyone who didn’t prepay can confirm that they are coming, you don’t get to book your seat (well, this can get messy, but as a general rule, if you are with a bunch of people who pre-paid, you can normally get a few confirmers in, but don’t expect to get your seats booked if it’s 70% confirmed, 30% pre-paid)

One week before the event we have “The Bump”, what happens here is all people who have not pre-paid or confirmed are put below the people who have (pre-paid gets highest priority, then confirmed, then non-confirmed).

Saturday the 4th of February – People who are pre-paid have their seats reserved for the whole event, don’t feel stressed about getting your seat, if you have booked your seat and you have pre-paid, just come and LAN. If you have confirmed, it’s first in best dressed for the remaining seats, doors normally open at 10-10:30am.
But what if you are below the 420 (or whatever number we go with this time) player point?
That’s not an issue, on the day there will be a mobile number on the Respawn homepage (http://respawn.com.au) where from 2pm you can just give us a call, ask if there’s spare seats, and if so, come down and have a good time. (Note: You can come any time before 2, you just will be spectating until then).
Speaking of, yes, we do allow spectators, just see the person at the front desk for a spectator pass (they’re free, don’t worry), it’s a gold coin donation to get food from the midnight bbq though.

If you have any issues, message an admin on the Respawn forums or join us on IRC (irc.oz.org #respawn) and someone there may be able to help

Have a Razor Black Widow (Cherry Blues)
Very nice to type on, but doesn't have N-key rollover, so if you type insanely fast, this may be an issue for you.

Use it for gaming (much to the annoyance of people in mumble).

There's a few page discussion there about various keyboards
