A refreshing change., New games at Respawn?! Options

I guess this is a useless attempt at trying to get people interested in something different than the same old bland shit (CoD/TF2/CSS/Flatout2/Tron/GRiD, etc.)... as there's not a great deal of action happening on these forums... but here goes.

What I am trying to do here, is compile a list of potentially fun games to be played at Respawn v18, to get away from the stale smell of familiarity.

In short... some different fucken games!

I guess I'd like some feedback, and maybe list some games you'd like to see.
It doesn't have to be games for a comp, or even a funcomp... just stuff to play in general.
Personally, I don't go to Respawn for the comps, and I am saddened to see hardly anything interesting getting played outside of the comps...

There's some suggestions of games I never see, but hopefully will in future.
I know popular games will always be popular, and there's always people who go just for one particular game or comp, etc... but hopefully some of you out there in internet land are tired of the same old shit, as I am... and are down for playing something different this time around!

I am all for this idea, well, atleast the ARMAII one, but from memory you need decent specs to run this, that's one of the advantages of games such as Tron, CS:S and TF2, they run on fairly basic engines (comparitively) so anyone can play them.

Even though I really suck at it, I would like to see Warsow as a "new" FPS. I know it isn't a new game, but I would like to see it become popular.

EDIT: A little too fast-paced for my liking (I'm getting old, damn it! ). Kinda looks like a cross between Quake 3, TF2 (the wierd art style + arcadey Scout-style jumping), and Mirror's Edge (jumping off walls).

Could be worth a shot, though!

Plain Sight used to have a bit of an issue due to the fact the server couldn't (from my understanding) differentiate between clients from the internet and from within the LAN. Hopefully with the update that came out the other week, this will be fixed

The new AvP is seriously terrible multiplayer. The SP is kind of fun, but the MP let me down a LOT. It's nothing like the previous two games. Plus, IIRC, there's no LAN play anyway.

Most of the other game's you've listed either don't have a big enough following, or are shit (Kane and Lynch 2? Are you joking??)

Like others have said, popular respawn choices are small, lightweight, cheap (or even better, FREE) games.

Speaking of which, Dystopia, a free mod for anyone with a source game just had a MASSIVE update! This game is fantastic, and I know i try to get it going every lan, but it would be awesome if we actually could get a server running this lan!

Just after reading the blurb and looking at a few screenshots it reminded me a bit of Smashball, a mod I downloaded off Steam about a year ago and never got to play because it's multiplayer only and noone is on the Australian servers.

Sure, it's "just another 3rd person shooter", but what games aren't generic shit these days? I find the characters and visual style of the game is refreshing, and multiplayer is unique. It's a breath of fresh air, so to speak.
