I'm just curious. Will there be security at V20? If so what kind?

The LaTrobe venue provides a manned security gate all vehicles must pass through and patrolling security staff. There are Respawn staff awake at all times.

As per the T&C, your equipment is your responsibility and Respawn cannot be held liable for any damages or losses.

Just a slightly relevant question:

How safe is my laptop at Respawn? Usually I bring my desktop but this time round I am bringing my laptop. Obviously a laptop is an easy target for potential thieves.... has anyone had problems with leaving their laptops at their table unattended?

Is there anything I can purchase to make it more secure (locks etc.) ?

We have never had reports of computer hardware being stolen/gone missing/etc. I certainly recommend taking steps to keep your gear safe, regardless of our near perfect history smile.gif

You could use a Kensington lock to secure your laptop to the table legs or take your laptop with you when you leave the venue.

Major thefts have never happened before, so I'd be surprised if they happened this time. That said, if you're nervous, no reason not to lock your laptop to the desk.

I've been Respawning since v5 with a laptop (and, for the first half of my lanning experience, external HDs) and haven't lost a thing once.
