QUOTE (berger @ Aug 12 2009, 06:40 PM) *
id rather save the $5-6 honestly

By the way, those chunky 3-phase power cables don't supply themselves with juice, and the cost of running even a small fridge for 12-36 hours could easily surpass the cost of a few bags of ice.

Just bring an esky or buy cans if you want cold drinks.

Despite the fact that fridges may not use as much power as a computer, power is exclusively set up and calculated to only only run computers and our other eqiupment.. ergo the rule in place regarding personal heaters fridges and the like.

In most cases it isn't the average draw of the device that could screw power but the initial draw when they power up, which ever case you'd present we'd simply refer you to the rules. Failing that ask you to leave.

Late reply is late!

Ill make this very simple.

FRIDGE = NO. Regardless of any point you put forward.

ESKY = YES. but observe the following guidelines.

1. Make sure your esky is water tight!
(I know this might seem a bit obvious but water and electricity really dont mix well)

2. Please keep your esky as far from power infrastructure as you can.

3. Dont overfill it or fill it with banned substances.

And that will be that.
