Flatout 2 had a massive response at V7, with 36 people playing in the competition.

I hope people at least somewhat enjoyed the last comp but in light of comments from a few of you ive decided to get your opinions pre event.

I do like the idea of a single comp for both race and derby players because then we get a larger overall group of players in the comp and its way more fun .

The main issue with most of you seems to be with the crash alley final. I am more than open to change this idea, as long as it reflects both race and derby players as equal as possible. The reason i chose a race in crash alley is that you could win by one of 2 means. It was 10 laps, so there was the possibility of simply eliminating your opponents and winning derby style. Or driving flatout and winning a 10 lap race.

I do agree crash alley is bugged in terms of resets and respawns, so give me some ideas on a new final map, or give me some ideas on how we could run this comp better at V8, and ill try to figure something out.

maybe for the finals have a endurance race, like one of the oval tracks with 10 laps or more if possible

As much as I hate randomness in a game. That makes a lot of sense. Although I'd prefer a racing track to cater for us racers over a simple circle to drive around.

Although an endurance race on a normal track like canals would be interesting. As we had those driving against traffic last time which would make it interesting for those driving forwards. Heh, you could have street cars only for those racing forwards and no limit cars for those driving backwards... a street car meeting with an oncoming truck would be somewhat fatal for the car, and 10 laps should be more than enough to give those demo jockies a good chance at taking down the racers.

Anywho, just a suggestion

there should be a competition including both race and derby, and a seperate one for stunts, since they are very time consuming with 8 players you cant mix them in

Where did you get stunts from?

I can guarantee there wont be stunts involved in the comp, too time consuming

last time worked well keep it like that i think. Although last time i got d/c half way through the race
oh yeah and no stunts. it would take way too long with so many players. also not as fun to watch

So do we know what the final mode will be? Or the prize for the winner?
