As was mentioned a few times already in the previous pages, there was supposed to be a small PA system for the annex at v14.

VLC is a pretty good idea for broadcasting the announcements to individuals, but it wouldn't work for broadcasting to a second PA system due to the delay in the stream.

I hope next respawn the do the tv stream again.

This worked out pretty well, with no major technical problems and (thanks to multicasting) a low load on the network, so it'll probably happen again. However, there's been some concern that it'll incite people to do nothing but watch TV and leech, which we want to discourage. So it'll probably be limited to either big events (like the Grand Final) or a single channel.

Hey guize, V14 was my first time and it was pretty fkn wicked!

A friend invited me at the last moment so i biked on up there to have a squiz, and im positive that i'll be registering the next respawn

It was a fun event and i look forward to lol'ing at the caffiene pill dude again

Missed this one, due to last minute problems. Was a shame too was really looking forward to it.

RE: Admins and the Prizes.
Coming from Blam (You regional and older folk should be aware of this one), we used to allow Admins to enter and win comps, Few ever did (win that is) and then I think the once or twice it did happen, they deferred the prize to someone else or some random small event between the 2nd and 3rd placers.

I think our general caveat used to be that the Admins were players too as long as they paid and regod like everyone else. The small number of us who were tight in paying (yes me ) generally saw that as excluding ourselves from winning (but we still played in our comps). We left it to the other admins to stop us from gaming the system. (running obvious competitions where you knew you'd win or have a good chance with some obscure game (Can't believe I got beaten at Amagetron back then))

I don't know to be honest, I don't have a particular hard and fast opinion on it, cause if they win I figure they win. Its up to them really and how it bares on their conscience. I could never bring myself to claim any prizes that were never coming my way in the first place.

I think this is a very good point, although they do a hell of a lot of work beforehand and after it, i think that if they pay for a spot then they are entitled to win any game they are good enough in.

Or you could stream the channel go which has alot of old and new tv series on it.
