Q: I'm on the waiting list, can i get in before 2pm?
A: NO!SQUID EDIT: We will post a phone number on the main page on Saturday morning. You are able to call this number ahead of time (midday onwards) to see if we have space. This is the updated MEGA thread about the waiting list, seat reservations, food etcetc!
Q: Can I book my seat prior to the event?
A: Respawn does not currently have a ‘seat booking’ or ‘seat allocation’ system. We currently operate on a ‘first come, first serve’ system.
Q: Can my friends reserve a seat for me / Can i reserve a seat for my friend if they are on the waiting list?
A: No!
Q: Can my friends reserve my seat / Can i reserve a seat for my friend if they are NOT on the waiting list (aka, confirmed and in the top 500)?
A: Sure! There are two kinds of seat reservations; PAID and UNPAID. Paid means that the seat is reserved for the entirety of the LAN. The seat must be specifically allocated to a player, and paid for in full. Unpaid means that the seat has not been paid for, and thus, can only be reserved until 2pm.
Q: What’s so special about 2pm?
A: 2pm is when we allow anyone to enter. Before 2pm we will only allow people who are registered, confirmed, and in the TOP 500 PLAYERS.
Q: What if i’m not in the top 500?
A: You will need to wait until 2pm and see if there are any empty seats. We have live updates of player numbers on the website over the event. Much as Tank doesn’t like it, if there are no seats, she can’t help you
Q: How will people know the seat is reserved?
A: We print reserved signs that can be placed on the table to let people and Admin’s know that the seat is reserved, not just empty.
Q: What if my girl/boy friend / general friend / someone wants to come and check it out, but doesn’t want to bring a computer?
A: This is what we class as a ‘spectator’, someone who just comes to look at the event. We allow spectators to get in for free, but do require them to come get a spectator tag, and give a gold coin donation if they want to partake in the BBQ. They, of course, are free to purchase anything from the Respawn Canteen.
Q: What if i’m a vegetarian?
A: If you’re a player, and a vegetarian, please feel free to PM Tank and let her know. She will then cater specially for you
(please note, while it is easy to cater to vegetarians, i cannot promise that the BBQ is strictly vegan-friendly.)
Q: What do you sell at the Respawn Canteen?
A: All kinds of things! We generally have several kinds of Soft Drink (Coke, Lemonade, Solo, Mt Dew, etc, including diet coke), Juice (orange/apple), Water, Energy Drinks, and Powerade/Gatorade. We have a giant $2 box filled with an assortment of chocolate bars and packets of chips. As a trial for v16, we will also be selling lemon slice, possibly hedgehog slice, and maybe muffins. We also stock a great lanning favourite, Dr Pepper, the authentic American stuff.
Q: What if i have a question that’s not on this list?
A: Feel free to post in this thread asking, and Tank or another admin will get back to you ASAP. You could also PM Tank directly
