Greetings, loyal minions.

I know how much you guys love asking for servers, so this is where you should do it for v15.

Here are some lists.

Servers we WILL be running
If any of these aren't running and you'd like us to run one, come and see me at the admin desk
Or if you'd like us to put up another server configured how you like it, also come and see me.
  • Team Fortress 2
  • Team Fortress 2 (GunGame)
  • Team Fortress 2 (Prop Hunt)
  • Counter Strike 1.6
  • Counter Strike Source
  • Counter Strike Source (GunGame)
  • Counter Strike Source (Warmod)
  • Half Life 2 Deathmath
  • Unreal Tournament 99
  • Unreal Tournament 2004
  • Altitude
  • Shattered Horizons
  • Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
  • Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Obscurity Mod)
  • Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Promod)
  • Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (GunGame)
  • Soldat
  • Teeworlds
  • PvPGN (Battle.net server - Warcraft II, Warcraft III, Starcraft, etc) (see footnote)
  • Armagetron
  • OpenTTD
  • Battlefield 2
  • The Ship


Here's some servers WE MIGHT run... if there's any demand (this means, these are servers we need to download + update + configure)
  • Halo: Combat Evolved
  • Battlefield 1942
  • Battlefield Vietnam
  • Call of Duty 2
  • Call of Duty 5
  • ARMA II
  • Trackmania: Nations/United Forever
  • Half Life Deathmatch
  • Killing Floor
  • Quake III Arena
  • Warsow
  • Left 4 Dead (2) - likely better left to the individuals to host a local game with their preferred settings and maps
  • Left 4 Dead (2) super versus/super campaign (extended player counts)


Here's some servers we WILL NOT be running
  • Modern Warfare 2 (pending testing, there may be private matches hosted by third parties at the LAN)


I've likely forgotten a lot of them. I've purposely left some others out.

Your input is appreciated, and if you don't put in any input, you're not allowed to complain about the servers after the event!



footnote: To connect to the PvPGN server at the LAN, connect to the Europe battle.Net server and create an account. The accounts on our PvPGN server are in no way related to the actual Europe server, so you will need create an account if you haven't in previous LANs.

CoD: WaW does not support Nazi Zombies in dedicated server mode, last time I checked. Your only option is hosting a listen server.

If you can find me a way to do it, I'll do it.

No.

This piece of crap is the worst server EVER.

We have run UT3 in previous events and had no end of trouble - half the people are able to see the server, but unable to join. It seriously has HUGE isssues and I have no idea how they managed to release this server as a stable version.

Well... there was.. but it appears I forgot to open it. Next time, I wont be running any competitions or fun comps, so I'll have a lot less to worry about, especially for the first few hours of the event where everyone loves to ask questions.

Do remember, if you want to play a game, there's nothing at all stopping you from running a server yourself. If you want us to announce it, come and ask us. And if I've said I'll have something running and I don't, come up to me and remind me!
