Just a FYI, though, doing this does actually work - it's part of the PCI-e spec that a card should operate with any amount of PCI-e lanes. I've done it, and it's a really handy trick if you only have PCI-e 1x lanes free.
Just... neither guys in this story actually know what they're talking about or how to achieve it... MANY LULZ ENSURE.

i felt sick when i saw this. even my 2 year old daughter isn't that stupid. She has installed a graphics card and she understood that if it doesn't fit easily.. try a different slot, and if it doesn't seem to fit in she puts the card down and tries the next one... sigh... just sigh
